Jacqueline Lawrence, a Doctor off Christian Counseling and best-selling author, began working with children, seniors, and people with intellectual disabilities as a teenager. She started as a babysitter, then worked as a housekeeper and nurse’s aid with the elderly in their homes and convalescent hospitals, eventually becoming a Clinical Assistant and Client Services Director of Home Care Agencies. At the age of 16, she became a camp counselor for individuals with intellectual disabilities and soon after, began helping out at her mother’s licensed Small Family Home for children with developmental disabilities in 1978, for which she also helped to develop not only her mother’s Program Design, but those of numerous others who became Residential Service Providers, as well as several of her own. She continues to assist people in developing and successfully operating their Residential Service Provider businesses.
